Women’s science congress in Bijapur

BANGALORE: The Swadeshi Vijnana Andolana (Karnataka) will hold a three-day National Women’s Science Congress at Bijapur from November 7. General secretary of the andolan H. Ramesh told presspersons here on Tuesday that November 7, being the birth anniversary of Sir C.V. Raman and Marie Curie, the organisation would honour Vijayalakshmi Ravindranath, an internationally renowned neuroscientist, with the Marie Curie Mahila Vijnana Puraskar. The first-women science meet would be attended by women scientists and a few observer-scientists from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, UAE would take part in it. Over 200 papers would be presented.
