All State pensioners will have to submit life certificates in a new format Association organising two meetings on November 2 and 8 to clarify doubts of pensioners VIJAYAWADA: The West Krishna unit of State Government Pensioners’ Association is organising some awareness meetings and also opened a help desk in different locations in the city for the convenience of pensioners to submit life certificates, which would enable them to continue to receive their pension without any break. Association president K. Dalinaidu and secretary V. Prasada Rao said in a statement on Wednesday that all State pensioners would have to submit life certificates in a new format, along with their photograph, in the Treasury Office in Gandhinagar from November 1 onwards. Members of the association would be present every day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the premises of Urban Tehsildar office in Gandhinagar to supply blank forms and help the pensioners fill them up for submission to the officials. Pensioners would have to furnish details of Pension Payment Order and bank account, along with a photograph. For those who would find it difficult to go to the Treasury Office in Gandhinagar, the association has organised two meetings on November 2 and November 8. Assistant Treasury Officer P. Ananda Rao would attend these meetings to clarify the doubts of pensioners and receive life certificates from them. The first meeting would be held in the community hall in Veterinary Colony from 10 a.m. on November 2. The second meeting would be held from 10 a.m. on November 8 at Vighnesh Towers near Tummala Venkataratnam Park in New Postal Colony on Pantakaluva Road. At 4 p.m. on the same day, another meeting would be organised on the premises of SRR & CVR Government College, Machavaram. Pensioners living in nearby localities could attend any of these places to make use of the facility. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
