Employment office releases list of MTC conductor vacancies

CHENNAI: The District Employment Office, Santhome, has released a list of 150 vacancies for the post of Metropolitan Transport Corporation bus conductors, which would be filled up on the basis of the seniority of candidates registered with the employment office.

A press release said eligible registered candidates may approach the employment office in Santhome in person before Friday to check whether their names figure in the list notified by the MTC.

Those with a pass in X class and with a conductor licence are eligible for the job. The age limit for other communities is 35, as on July 1, 2008, and 40 years in the case of those belonging to backward and most backward communities.

The age limit for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes is 45.
