Landless people to stage stir

MALAPPURAM: Landless people from different parts of the district will stage a satyagraha in front of the Collectorate here on Saturday demanding implementation of comprehensive land reforms and recapturing of lease-lands whose lease validity has expired. Rights activist Laha Gopalan will inaugurate the satyagraha. People’s Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL) president P.A. Pouran will preside over the function. A host of activists and leaders of different organisations from different parts of the State will address the protestors. — Staff Reporter
