New Army Medical Corps chief

Thiruvananthapuram: Lt. General O.P. Mathew has been appointed Colonel Commandant of the Army Medical Corps. A native of Kolenchery in Ernakulam district, the General passed his MBBS and did his MD in General Medicine from the Armed Forces Medical Corps Hospital in Pune in 1970. He is a recipient of the commendation of the General-Officer-in-Chief, Western Command, and author of over 40 medical research papers. — Staff Reporter
