Jewellery stolen

CHENNAI: About 30 sovereigns of gold jewellery were reportedly stolen from a house at Pattinapakkam in the city on Thursday.

Police said Suresh, a resident of Raja Street, had lodged a complaint that he found the valuables missing after the Deepavali celebrations.

Investigators are enquiring about the profiles of relatives and friends who visited the house.

The Foreshore Estate police have registered a case.
