Solatium announced for woman

CHENNAI: The State government has announced a solatium of Rs.2 lakh to the family of Adhilakshmi of Cheranmahadevi in Tirunelveli district.

Recently Ammayappan, husband of Adhilakshmi, and his two daughters Karthiga and Rajalakshmi were washed away in floods while they were crossing the Tamirabarani in Tirunelveli district.

When the information was brought to the notice of the Chief Minister, he announced the solatium from the Chief Minister’s General Relief Fund on Thursday, said an official release.
