Secretariat march on November 6

KOCHI: The coordination committee for those displaced by development projects will take out a protest march to the Secretariat on November 6. The march is being held in protest against the delay in handing over the rehabilitation land for those evicted from Moolampilly for the Vallarpadom project.

Even though tenders have been invited for making the rehabilitation land habitable, the work has not progressed, said Francis Kalathunkal, general convenor of the committee, in a press release issued here.

Solidarity

The committee will express solidarity with those being evicted for the Vizhinjam Harbour project after the protest march.

P.C. George, MLA, V.M. Sudheeran and Father John V. Thadathil will address the march.
