ACB nabs Health dept. staffer

HYDERABAD: Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau on Friday arrested Sunkara Veera Venkata Rama Krishna, senior assistant, establishment section, East Godavari district Medical and Health Officer, after they caught him accepting Rs.5,000 as bribe from the complainant, J.C.K.L.Pratap Kishore, P.Geddada primary health centre, for showing an official favour.

A press release issued by ACB said Rama Krishna had demanded bribe for processing the transfer representation on completion of five years of agency service and including his name in the promotion list to the Director of Medical and Health.

The officials recovered the tainted amount from Rama Krishna. He will be produced before the Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Vijayawada.
