Reliance Capital Q2 net up

NEW DELHI: Reliance Capital announced a net profit of Rs. 229.40 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2008, against Rs. 200.10 crore in the year-ago period, an increase of 15 per cent.

Total operating income rose by 38 per cent to Rs. 1,313 crore for the second quarter from Rs. 952.70 crore , according to a company statement.

During the half-year ended September 30, 2008, it reported a net profit of Rs. 572.50 crore against Rs. 525.30 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal. Total operating income rose by 34 per cent to Rs. 2,856.30 crore from Rs. 2,127.70 crore.
