Bangalore: Test your archery skill against Ekalavya. Aim an arrow at the clay image of Dronacharya. This is just one game for mobile phone owners created by Mumbai-based Nazara Technologies — all based on incidents in the Mahabharata, the Ramayana, Panchatantra and Birbal’s stories. The first release, “Gurubhakta Ekalavya,” has 12 skill levels, incorporating incidents from the great archer’s life. The second release revolves round incidents in the life of Yudhisthira. At present, subscribers of Tata Indicom and Reliance can access these games, but Nazara CEO Nitish Mittersain told The Hindu on Saturday that almost all GSM providers could be expected to offer these games. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
