Opens Pashan Garh at Panna National Park

NEW DELHI: Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces will add two new luxury lodges — Pashan Garh at Panna National Park and Banjaar Tola at Kanha National Park — to its Taj Safaris brand. The leading hotel group already has two lodges — Mahua Kothi near Bandhavgarh National Park and Baghvan near Pench National Park.

“Pashan Garh was opened today (November 1), while Banjaar Tola will start receiving guest from December 1. With this, we will complete the ‘Tiger Circuit’ in Madhya Pradesh where visitors can now enjoy best of wildlife tourism in different safari packages,” said Ajoy Mishra, Senior Vice-President, Indian Hotels Company, which runs the Taj chain of hotels.

The first luxurious lodge, Mahua Kothi, was started in October 2006, while Baghvan started operating in February 2007. Taj Hotels operated ‘Taj Safaris’ in a joint venture initiative with Conservation Corporation Africa (CC Africa), a leading ecotourism company that operates lodges and safaris in Africa.

“We are the only company in India that operates branded wildlife circuit where tourist information is being imparted by naturalists trained by CC Africa. We are deeply committed to conservation and community development.

Taj Safaris closely engage with local population in developing these properties located on the periphery of national parks,” said Mr. Mishra.

Banjaar Tola consists of two elegant camps, while Pashan Garh has luxury stone cottages.
