Sriskandarajah takes pole

Chennai: Team ANYA’s Sriskandarajah grabbed pole position in two categories (Group ‘D’ 4-stroke 165cc and Group ‘B’ 4-stroke 260cc) of the expert class in qualifying for the fifth and final round of the UCAL ROLON National Racing Championship, here on Saturday.

Alok Sashidhar (Group ‘A’ 1000cc and the Group ‘D’ 4-stroke 130cc) and K. Umesh Babu (Group ‘C’ 2-stroke 130-165cc and Moped) also claimed ‘doubles’. The Round 5 races will be held on Sunday.

Qualifying results (pole position): Group ‘A’: 600cc: Sarosh (2:10.689s); 1000cc: Alok Sashidhar 2:00.117s); Expert class: Group ‘D’ 4-stroke 165cc: Sriskandarajah (1:14.995s).

Group ‘B’ 4-stroke 165cc: T.K. Vishwanath (2:01.777s); Group ‘B’ 4-stroke 260cc: Sriskandarajah (2:01.987s); Intermediate class: Group ‘D’ 4-stroke 130-165cc: V. Sameer (1:14.798s).

Group ‘C’ 2-stroke 130-165cc: K. Umesh Babu (2:09.340s).

Novice class: Group ‘D’ 4-stroke 130cc: Alok Sashidhar (1:21.339s); Group ‘D’ 2-stroke 130-165cc: K. Vinoth (1:25.728s); Moped: K. Umesh Babu (1:25.728s).
