Jayasri triumphs

TIRUCHI: T. Jayasri of Savithri Vidyasala Hindu Girls’ HSS defeated schoolmate R. Vineetha 5-11, 11-8, 11-6, 11-6 to win the junior title at the District ranking table tennis tournament, organised by the Kailasapuram Club, here on Saturday.

The results (finals):

Boys: Cadet: Allan Richard (Campion AI HSS) bt Leo Aldrin Raj (Campion) 11-4, 11-8, 11-8.

Mini-cadet: Joe Nithin Raj (Campion) bt Giri Manickam (Sri Sivananda Balalaya) 11-2, 11-3.

Girls: Junior: T. Jayasri (SVS) bt R. Vineetha (SVS) 5-11, 11-8, 11-6, 11-6.

Sub-junior: B. Deepa (SVS) bt G.J. Sureka (SVS) 6-11, 11-6, 11-9, 12-10. Cadet: S. Megala (GHSS, Thumbalam) bt S. Sweetha (Cauvery MHSS) 11-3, 11-5.

Mini-cadet: Shri Shanmathi (Sri Sivananda Balalaya) bt S. Abinaya (Cauvery MHSS) 14-12, 12-10.
