Sulaya sizzles

KOZHIKODE: Sulaya scored 83 and took five for seven to help Ernakulam open its campaign in the State senior women’s cricket championship with a thumping 241-run against Idukki at the Medical College Ground here on Saturday. Kollam beat Kottayam by six wickets at the Corporation Stadium.

The scores: Ernakulam 267 for two in 50 overs (Sulaya 83, Anna Daisy 48) bt Idukki 26 in 17.2 overs (Sulaya five for seven).

Kottayam 52 in 27.5 overs (M. Manju for four 12, Jincy George four for 16) lost to Kollam 53 for four in 22 overs.
