Visakhapatnam triumphs

VISAKHAPATNAM: Visakhapatnam won the Konda Krishnam Raju and Konda Gandhi Raju trophy, with an all-win record in the ACA North Zone under-25 tournament after beating Srikakulam by 111 runs at Kakinada on Saturday.

East Godavari finished runner-up after beating Vizianagaram by nine wickets in another match.

A selection match would be held between ACA President’s XI and ACA Secretary’s XI with probables picked from the four districts that participate in the tournament.

The scores: Visakhapatnam 298 for six in 50 overs (G. Appanna 64, S. Kranthi Kumar 62) bt Srikakulam 187 in 44.5 overs (T. Chandra Pavan 53 n.o., K. Rama Raju 40, P.A.V.N. Raju four for 30).

Vizianagaram 42 in 18.2 overs (P. Sagar five for 14) lost to East Godavari 43 for one in 9.5 overs.
