TDP issues whip for Council members

SANGAREDDY: With the D-day for no trust move in the municipality of Sangareddy fast approaching, the Telugu Desam Party reportedly issued whip to its councillors to vote in favour of the no confidence motion served against municipal chairman B. Vijaya Lakshmi, a follower of MLA T. Jayaprakash Reddy.

During last month some councillors moved no trust motion against the municipal chairperson and the revenue divisional officer fixed November 11 as the date for floor test.

TDP is having four members in the council and three of them reportedly sailing with the MLA group annoyed the party. Hence, the whip was issued.

The TRS which is having a strength of 13 members had already issued a similar whip to its members.
