CHENNAI: The State government on Monday made another shuffle of police officers. A.G. Pon Manickavel, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Special Task Force, Erode, has been transferred and posted as Commandant, Tamil Nadu Special Police XIV Battalion (Guard Battalion), Palani, in place of K. Sokkalingam, IPS, who has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, State Human Rights Commission, Chennai. He takes over from M. Sathya Priya, who will become Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Headquarters, Chennai. M.T. Ganesamoorthy, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Security Branch-I, CID, Chennai, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Triplicane, Chennai Police, in place of S. Lakshmi, who has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Central Range, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Chennai. She will replace N.Z. Asiammal, who has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Flower Bazaar, Chennai Police, in the place of S.V. Karuppasamy, who will become Superintendent of Police, Special Task Force, Erode. J. Rajendran, IPS, Commandant, Tamil Nadu Special Police Battalion, Sundarampalli, Vellore, under orders of transfer as Superintendent of Police, Railways, Tiruchi, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Headquarters, Madurai. He will also hold the additional charge of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime, Madurai, until further orders. The order posting J. Ravindran, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Headquarters, Madurai, as Assistant Inspector General of Police, Headquarters, Chennai, has been cancelled, and he has been kept on compulsory wait. The order posting N.
