Entrepreneurs can apply online from Dec. 15

KRISHNAGIRI: Micro, small and medium enterprises can file applications online and get an acknowledgement immediately. They need not go to District Industries Centre to file their applications anymore.

Easier procedure

According to the press release issued by Collector V. K. Shanmugam here on Monday, as per Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act entrepreneurs, from December 15, can file Entrepreneurs Memorandum Part I for their proposed enterprises and Part II for their existing enterprises with their respective District Industries Centres by going to the website smesonline@tn.gov.in. and get acknowledgement online. With a view to simplify the procedure and to speed up the process, the State Government has launched online filing of Entrepreneurs Memorandum Part I.

Condition

A self certified copy of online application with an acknowledgement should be sent to the Office of the General Manager, District Industries Centre, Krishnagiri within 30 days from the date of filing an online application, failing which the acknowledgement already issued will be cancelled.

Entrepreneurs are expected to avail of the online facility, the release said.
