DSS stages dharna

KOLAR: Scores of Dalit Sangharsha Samiti activists staged a dharna in front of rural police station here on Monday demanding the arrest of the accused in defilement of B.R. Ambedkar’s portrait at Jannaghat a couple of days ago. Although a complaint was lodged against five youths belonging to upper castes, the police have failed to act, the protesters alleged. Arun, Pramod, Subramanya, Prasanna and Chinnappa were named as the accused in the complaint. — Staff Correspondent
