Market research fair by TAPMI

Staff Correspondent

Manipal: Students of T.A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), will organise their annual market research fair called ‘BrandScan 2008’ at the MJC Grounds here on November 8 and 9.

A press release issued by TAPMI here on Tuesday stated that in the last 16 years, BrandScan had completed 163 projects for various clients making it one of the largest market research fairs conducted by a business school in the country.

The aim of BrandScan was to conduct market research projects in Manipal for corporate clients. The students have chosen a format of a fair in order to bring together consumers at a single place and collect data through games.

The unique demographic profile of Manipal makes it attractive for research and hence BrandScan has carved a niche for itself.

Team BrandScan took pride in the fact that it was the biggest event in Manipal. The average attendance at this event was over 8,000. In order to attract people to BrandScan, the team hosts tailor-made events for the varied tastes of the people of Manipal. It will be a fun filled two-day event which will attract a diverse crowd ranging from young to old, middle to upper-class households from Udupi, Manipal and adjoining areas. BrandScan will include various events such as Mr. Biker – a stunt show for thrill lovers, ‘War of DJs’ for rock fans, a fashion show; a drawing competition; and ‘Adarsh Dampati’ — wherein married couples compete with each other for the title the ideal couple, the release added.
