Special award

Tamil scholar and journalist and Kalaimamani awardee ‘Tiruchi’ Barathan was selected for a special award by the Tamil Language Akademy in recognition of his yeoman services in promoting Tamil language and literature. The award was presented to him by Union Minister of State for Law and Justice K. Venkatapathy recently.
