The first South Zone summer internship project contest was conducted at the Nehru College of Management. The programme was inaugurated by S.R. Pujar, Director, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Textile Management. He spoke to the students on the importance of practical implication and knowledge gained by taking up a project. Some 32 colleges participated and 18 projects were presented. OpportunitiesThe Entrepreneurship Development Cell of the Dr. G.R. Damodaran College of Science organised an awareness lecture on “Enterprise Creation”. K. Suresh Kumar, Manager, PSG STEP, spoke on the requisites needed for students to become entrepreneurs. He urged students to take up entrepreneurship to exploit opportunities available, for wealth creation and employment generation.
