Vaniya triumphs

NEW DELHI: Vaniya Dangwal of Ahlcon Public School (Mayur Vihar) outplayed Sanya Madan of Manav Sthali School (Rajinder Nagar) in the under-18 girls’ final of the inter-school tennis tournament on Wednesday.

Sanya had the consolation of winning the under-14 title.

The results (finals): Boys: U-18 (team): Bal Bharati School (Pitampura) bt Ryan International School (Vasant Kunj) 2-0.

U-14 (team): Hillgrove Public School bt Darbari Lal DAV School (Ashok Vihar) 2-1.

Girls: U-18: Vaniya Dangwal bt Sanya Madan 6-0, 6-0.

Team: Laxman Public School bt DPS (Vasundhara) 2-0.

U-14: Sanya Madan bt Damini Sharma 6-3, 7-6(1).

Team: Bal Bharati School (Pitampura) bt Bal Bharati School (Noida) 2-0.
