Rajat Bhatia helps Delhi take lead

Chennai: Rajat Bhatia was dismissed one run short of a century, but helped Delhi reach 434 for the loss of eight wickets against Punjab on the third day of the Ranji Trophy super league cricket match in Delhi.

Bhatia’s 168-ball 99 stabilised Delhi’s innings, after four batsmen perished in the first hour of play.

Goud scores century

At Bangalore, Railways’ Yere Goud was unbeaten on 109 at the end of the third day against Karnataka.

Railways, resuming at 110 for four, made 340 for the loss of seven wickets at close in response to Karnataka’s 365. Skipper Sanjay Bangar scored 84.

Trivedi scalps five

At Rajkot, Gujarat’s Siddharth Trivedi scalped five wickets for 44 runs to dismiss Saurashtra for 154 in its first innings, after Gujarat declared at 581 for six.

Gujarat need five wickets for victory, after Saurashtra ended the third day with its second innings score at 74 for five.
