St. Mary’s takes title

KOCHI: St. Mary’s College (Thrissur) defeated Assumption (Changanassery) 62-44 and won the 15th Sr. Redempta memorial all-Kerala inter-collegiate women’s basketball tournament at the St. Xavier’s College, Aluva, on Friday.

Simi Joseph of St. Mary’s was adjudged as the tournament’s best player while St. Xavier’s K. Pravisha was named as the most promising player.

Former Indian star V. Vivek, Inspector of Customs and Central Excise, gave away the prizes. — Principal Correspondent
