Family claims youth was killed by MNS workers in Mumbai

BASTI (U.P.): The family members of a youth from the district, whose body was recovered from a drain in Mumbai, have alleged that he was killed by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena workers.

Deputy Inspector-General of Police Abhaya Kumar Prasad, however, denied the allegations and said they were enquiring into the incident.

Anuj Kumar Srivastava’s body was recovered on Wednesday. He was working in Mumbai for the past two years. His elder brother has gone to Mumbai to bring back the body to Chaubahe village under Lalganj police station area here.

Efforts are on to get a detailed report of Anuj’s death, the DIG added. . — PTI
