East Bengal holds Mahindra United

KOLKATA: East Bengal Club managed to hold Mahindra United 1-1 in the seventh round of the ONGC I-League at the Salt Lake Stadium on Friday.

Down by a 59th minute strike by Mahindra’s substitute Paresh Shivalkar, East Bengal managed to almost immediately wrest a point thanks to a superb goal by Sunil Chetri two minutes later.
