Sree Kumar the fastest

HYDERABAD: Sree Kumar of Southern Command emerged the fastest athlete in the Army inter-command athletics meet winning the 100m event at the Artillery Centre (Golconda) here on Saturday. Brig R. Suresh, Commandant, Artillery Centre, gave away the prizes.

100m: 1. Sree Kumar (Southern Command) 10.70s, 2. R. Venkatraman (Central Command), 3. A. Thomas (Southern Command). 800m: 1. S. J. Suhesh (SW Command) 1:57.40s, 2. Sandeep Kumar (Central Command), 3. Chandrasekhar (Southern Command). 3,000m: 1. Y.R. Darshan (Southern Command) 9:21.70s, 2. Sarat Tajbuli Yadav (Southern Command), 3. Karamvir Singh (Southern Command). Triple jump: 1. Bibin Dev (Southern Command) 15.26m, 2. Sarat Babu (Central Command), 3. Rajesh Rajan (SW Command). Javelin: 1. Ajit Kumar (Central Command) 68.91m, 2. Y.S. Sandeep (Central Command), 3. A.K. Tiwari (Southern Command). 4x100m relay: 1. Southern Command 3:17.60s, 2. South Western Command, 3. Central Command. 50km walk: 1. Sandeep Singh (Central Command) 4 hrs 39:49.80s, 2. Deepesh Mishra (Southern Command), 3. Gurpreet Singh (Northern Command).
