Canberra: The Indian women’s cricket team’s batting collapsed as Australia romped home to a thumping 118-run win in the fourth one-dayer to take a 4-0 lead in the five-match series here on Saturday. Chasing a record 281 for an elusive win in the series, India was bowled out for 163 with four overs to spare. Earlier, after winning the toss and opting to bat, Aussie captain Karen Rolton (101) scored her eighth international hundred, while opener Alex Blackwell (106) also hit a ton. — PTI © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
