Aurangabad: Police on Sunday found seven crude bombs in a grass heap at Majargaon village in Maharashtra’s Jalna district. Police sources did not rule out the possibility of a link between those who planted the bombs and those behind the blasts in Nanded, Parbhani, Purna and Jalna. Acting on a tip off, Superintendent of Police Sandeep Karnik, led a team to the spot. A bomb disposal squad from Aurangabad was called to defuse the bombs. Sources said the intensity of the bombs might have damaged a 100-feet area. Mr. Karnik said that no arrest had been made so far. — PTI © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
