Davangere: There was a theft of Rs. 3 lakh on a bus in Harihar on Saturday night. Jayappa, a farmer and a seed dealer of Ranibennur was boarding a bus at the Harihar bus stand when the incident took place. He was carrying the money in a bag which was torn and the money stolen by someone when he was boarding a bus. Police said that Jayappa was returning from Challakere after collecting the amount from a retail dealer to whom he had supplied seeds.

Harihar Police have registered a case and are investigating. — Staff Correspondent
