Muniyappa’s team wins

BANGALORE: The aspirants and the professionals rubbed shoulders as the Toyota Altis Pro-Am event was played in two sessions at the Eagleton Golf Resort here on Sunday.

In the afternoon session, PGTI member C. Muniyappa’s team, comprising amateurs Prateek Pant, K. Ramesh Rao and Devapriya Guha, won with a score of 15 under.

The morning session saw PGTI member Ranjit Singh lead his team of amateurs Vikram Chandra, J.S. Ahluwalia and Ms Tripta Ahluwalia win with a score of 14 under.

The prize for the closest shot to the pin was won by Harsha Sanchali (10 feet 11 inches) on hole no. 3 and Gosakan (6 feet 5 inches) also on hole 3.

Anirban Lahiri won the Ballantines longest drive contest for professionals, with an incredible drive of 365 yards on the first hole while amongst amateurs it was former cricketer Sujith Somasundaram.
