BKMU meet gets under way

BHUBANESWAR: The 11th national conference of Bharatiya Khet Mazdoor Union was inaugurated by Communist Party of India general secretary A.B. Bardhan here on Monday.

Three-day meet

The three-day conference is being attended by representatives of the Union from different parts of the country.

An open session ahead of the formal inaugural ceremony was attended by hundreds of people where several speakers spoke about the

problems facing the farm sector and agricultural workers across the country.

Earlier, the participants took out a procession in the city holding placards and banners highlighting various demands of the Union.
