Services of a few trains cancelled Stoppage for all diverted trains on Alappuzha section THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Southern Railway has diverted and cancelled some trains on November 13 to take up engineering work in the Thrippunithura -Mulanthuruthi and Chenagannur-Mavelikara sections as part of the ongoing doubling work. Consequently, some trains will be diverted to run in the Ernakulam-Alappuzha-Kayamkulam section instead of the Ernakulam-Kottayam-Kayamkulam section. Due to the diversion, the trains will not touch Piravom Road, Ettumanoor, Kottayam, Changanasserry, Thiruvalla, Chengannur and Mavelikara. The trains towards Thiruvananthapuram diverted via Ernakulam-Alappuzha-Kayamkulam are: the 2626 New Delhi-Thiruvananthapuram Kerala Express; the 6526 Bangalore-Kanyakumari Express; the 6350 Mangalore-Thiruvananthapuram Parasuram Express; the 7230 Hyderabad-Thiruvananthapuram Sabari Express and the 6318 Jammu Tawi Kanyakumari Himsagar Express. The trains towards Ernakulam which had been diverted include: the 2625 Thiruvananthapuram-New Delhi Kerala Express; the 6525 Kanyakumari-Bangalore Express; the 6349 Thiruvananthapuram-Mangalore Parasuram Express; the 7229 Thiruvananthapuram-Hyderabad Sabari Express; the 2202 Kochuveli-Lokmanyatilak Terminus Garibrath Express and the 6382 Kanyakumari-Mumbai CST Express, a Southern Railway press release said. Trains to stopThe Southern Railway will provide stoppage for all the diverted trains, except the 2202 Kochuveli-Garib Rath Express, at Haripad, Ambalapuzha, Alappuzha and Cherthala stations. The 6309/6310 Ernakulam-Patna-Ernakulam bi-weekly express will run on its normal route with immediate effect. CancelledThe 0343/0344 Ernakulam-Kayamkulam-Ernakulam Passenger and the 0335/0336 Ernakulam-Kayamkulam-Ernakulam Passenger had been cancelled.
