Party releases manifesto for Chhattisgarh Also promises interest free farm loans Raipur: The Chhattisgarh BJP in its election manifesto has promised to provide rice at Rs one per kg, interest free farm loans and terror free State. The manifesto, released on Monday by State election in-charge Ravishankar Prasad, promises rice at Rs one per kg to all “Antyodaya” ration card holders, Rs two a kg rice to all poor families and interest free farm loans. The party has also promised to provide free power upto five HP to farmers and separate power line to provide 24 hour uninterrupted power supply to farmers. Releasing its manifesto four days ahead of the first phase of voting, the BJP has pledged to give free salt to 32 lakh poor families, bonus of Rs 270 on every quintal of paddy procured by the Government, to make legal provisions to protect farm lands, health insurance scheme for all BPL families and a ‘terror free’ Chhattisgarh. The polling for first phase will be held on November 14. The manifesto offers accident insurance scheme for women, subsidy of Rs 100 on LPG connections, Rs 10 higher minimum wage for women in both skilled and unskilled sector and an one hour cut in official working hours for married women if the party comes to power.
