HYDERABAD: Reportedly dejected after getting a charge memo for dereliction of duty, a RTC bus conductor, B. Sudhakar Reddy (38), committed suicide at his house at Vidyanagar in Chandanagar on Monday. The Travelling Ticket Inspector (TTI) issued a charge memo to BHEL depot bus conductor Reddy at Ameerpet bus stop on Sunday when the former found that three passengers were travelling with old tickets. The TTI also said that he would recommend for Reddy’s suspension if the latter did not mend his ways, the police said. Reddy returned home on Sunday night and informed his wife Lalitha Kumari about the incident. He was in a depressed state even though his wife tried to console him. On Monday morning, he had breakfast with his two daughters. After they went to school and his wife to a nearby temple, Reddy ended his life by hanging to a ceiling fan, the police said. Mysterious deathA nine-year-old B. Pujitha died under suspicious circumstances at Bala Sadan hostel in Alwal on Monday morning. While the hostel staff maintained that Pujitha died due to health problems, the police said the mystery behind the case would be unravelled only after getting the post-mortem report. Pujitha, a fourth-standard student of Z.P. High School in Alwal, was staying in the hostel for the last four years.
