Boy killed in freak accident

HYDERABAD: A 11-year-old boy Shaik Chotu was killed when a cement street light pole, which got uprooted after a tractor hit it, fell on him while he was walking on the road at Ashamabad in Chandrayanagutta on Tuesday.

Chotu of Rajeev Gandhi Nagar was going to his brother’s work place to give him lunch box when the accident occurred, the Chandrayanagutta SI Sudhakar said.

The tractor was being used for ongoing road widening work at Ashamabad, the police said.
