GOTCHA: Delhi’s P. Bisht is castled by Ashwin Yadav of Hyderabad during their Ranji Trophy match on Wednesday. HYDERABAD: Hyderabad seamer Ashwin Yadav came up with a brilliant spell to enable the host take the first-innings led against Delhi on the third day of the Ranji Trophy Super League match at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Uppal on Wednesday. Delhi, which struggled against some accurate bowling and tight fielding, was all out for 284 in the evening session leaving Hyderabad with a lead of 50 runs. At close, Hyderabad was 31 for no loss in its second essay. Chetnya Nanda and P. Bisht raised hopes for Delhi with an 81-run stand, but young Ashwin Yadav got the breakthrough when he had Nanda caught behind. Nanda tried to force the ball to the off side, but the ball took the edge and went into the keeper’s gloves. Nanda, who played a supportive role in the partnership, scored 20 runs from 78 balls during his 126-minute vigil at the crease. Ashish Nehra, nursing a hamstring injury, came in next but was soon trapped leg before by M.P. Arjun. Bisht, who hit nine boundaries, was the last to go, bowled by Ashwin Yadav.
