National Integration Week in Ariyalur from Wednesday

ARIYALUR: The district administration on Thursday finalised the plan to celebrate National Integration Week from November 19 in connection with the birth anniversary of the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

On November 19, the national integration oath will be administered to employees in all government offices.

Welfare of Minority Day will be observed on November 20, Linguistic Harmony Day on November 21, Weaker Section’s Day on 22nd, Cultural Unity Day on 23rd, Women’s Day on 24th, and Conservation Day on 25th.

As instructed by Collector R. Sudalaikannan, a meeting of officials chaired by the Personal Assistant – General S. Manimaran discussed the preparations for the week-long celebrations.

The other officials included the Assistant Public Relations Officer V. Ekambaram, District Adi Dravida Welfare Officer K. Varadarajan, and District Social Welfare Officer K. Gandhimathi.

Resolution adopted

A resolution was adopted at the meeting to hold meetings, seminars and rallies of students, and utilise the week to create public awareness of government schemes.
