Programme at Krishi Vigyan Kendra

NAMAKKAL: An awareness programme on Scientific Management of Natural Resources would held at the Namakkal Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) located on the Veterinary College and Research Institute premises here from November 14 to 20.

The programme would be organised jointly by the Tamil Nadu State Planning Commission, Tamil Nadu State Land Use Board, Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Science University, Directorate of Research, Directorate of Extension Education and Namakkal KVK, a press release from programme co-ordinator Professor B. Mohan said.

Promotional campaign

A promotional campaign on national land resource conservation week and its importance, and drawing, poetry and elocution competitions on the topic of soil and water conservation for students would be held from November 14 to 18.

A farmers innovation seminar and an exhibition on agricultural, horticultural, livestock and poultry production would be conducted on November 19. A seminar on soil and water conservation would be held on November 20. More information can be obtained by dialling 04286-266345, 266244.
