SALEM: A special exhibition aimed at raising awareness on global warming and reduction of carbon dioxide emissions opened at the Holy Cross Matriculation Higher Secondary School here on Thursday. Students of the school displayed a large number of working models explaining the adverse impacts of global warming and the need to protect and conserve the environment. They urged the visitors to learn what to do to save energy on a daily basis, and help save the environment. Students created interactive and creative works and made presentations to stress the importance of protecting the nature. The exhibition also had models and charts explaining the development of information and communication technology, mathematics, the origin of earth, mineral resources, natural resources and languages. In all, the exhibition has over 700 working models and charts. A large number of students from schools and colleges in the city and general public visited the exhibition on the first day.
