DMDK men detain 10 Kerala buses

Nagercoil: The activists of Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazahgam detained 10 buses belonging to Kerala State Transport Corporation on Thursday at Kaliyakkavilai to protest against the non-release of water in Neyyar left channel for the benefit of farmers of Vilavancode taluk.

The district secretary, Jeganathan led the agitation. The police also arrested more than 150 activists of DMDK, who participated the agitation and released later.

The police have registered a case and are investigating.
