Sharp, LG, Chunghwa fined for price-fixing

WASHINGTON: The U.S. has imposed ‘criminal fines’ amounting to a whopping $585 million on Sharp Corp. of Japan, LG display Co. of South Korea and Chunghwa Picture Tubes of Taiwan for conspiring to illegally fix prices in the sale of liquid crystal display panels.
