One held for threatening with pistol

DINDIGUL: R. Udayakumar, personal security officer to Shiv Sena state convenor R.P. Raja, was arrested on the charges of brandishing his pistol to threaten common man here on Thursday.

The police said the PSO, in an inebriated mood, quarrelled with Narayanamurthy, a construction worker, in a bar.

Later, Udayakumar reportedly fired one round on the ground.

He received injuries in the impact of firing. He was admitted to the Government Hospital here for treatment.

Acting on a complaint lodged by Narayamurthy, a case has been registered against him.
