NEW DELHI: A 31-year-old man has been arrested for alleged involvement in several criminal cases in neighbouring Uttar Pradesh. Acting on a tip-off, a team led by Inspector Rajkumar intercepted a Maruit van in Rajouri Garden on Wednesday around 4 p.m. and arrested Harmeet Singh alias Sanju. A 7.65 calibre pistol of US make was allegedly seized. He carried a cash reward of Rs.2,500 on his head. Harmeet was first arrested by the U.P. police in connection with a kidnapping case several years ago. His father runs a “dhaba” in Agra. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
