Drive launched to fill potholes

DAVANGERE: Here is some good news for road users. If you spot potholes on major roads in Davangere district after November 30, you could register a complaint with the Public Works Department over telephone or in person and get them filled within a day or two.

Chairing a meeting of the department here on Friday, executive engineer Niranjan said the department had undertaken a drive to fill all potholes on major roads in the district, which was expected to be finished by November 30.

Appeal

He called upon the people to complain to the department either in person or over telephone (231530 or 234951) if they found any potholes.

Mr. Niranjan also warned the engineers of serious action if they failed to maintain the roads. He told the contractors that they would be blacklisted if they did not use quality material.
