Painting contest winners

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: J.S. Seethal, Class V student of Aided UP School, Balussery, Kozhikode, has won the first prize in the State-level painting competition for Class IV and V students conducted by the Union Ministry of Power in cooperation with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency as part of the national campaign on energy conservation here on Friday.

Srihari Ramdas, Class IV, Chovva English Medium UP School, Kannur, and Arshiya Ashok, Class V, Kasturba Public School, Chirakkal, Kannur, won the second and third prize. The prizes are cash awards of Rs.10,000, Rs.8,000 and Rs.5,000 respectively. Ten consolation prizes of Rs.1,000 each were distributed by Electricity Minister A.K.Balan..
