CHENNAI: Co-optex on Friday decided to pay additional bonus of 10 per cent to its employees for 2007-2008, taking the total payout to 20 per cent. “After a gap of nearly seven years, we are paying 20 per cent bonus on increased sales income. All the 1,009 employees will get the additional sum that works out to Rs.42.38 lakh. The disbursement will be made by November 25. Pending finalisation of audit, we announced 10 per cent bonus and paid it during the second half of October,” said a Co-optex official. For Pongal, Co-optex has set itself a sales target of Rs.39 crore as against Rs.30 crore registered for the corresponding period last year.
