Exhibition on diabetes

THANJAVUR: Rotary Club of Thanjavur Kings and GKV diabetes centre here organised an exhibition at Sri Besant Lodge on Friday to create awareness about diabetes in connection with the world diabetes day.

The District Collector, M. S. Shanmugham inaugurated the exhibition.

The exhibition had useful information for diabetics, exhibits on symptoms of diabetes, complications that it can create to the eyes, kidneys, legs, heart, etc.

Blood and urine tests were done to diagnose sugar levels among people.

Blood sugar test was conducted to district collector N. S. Vijayakumar, President of Rotary club of Thanjavur Kings, Dr. Arunprasad of GKV diabetes centre, C. T. Ramanathan, secretary of the club, Asif Ali, chartered president of the club were present on the occasion.
